August 1, 2006 - Final Thought On A Very Disappointing WSOP 06 For Me! As most people have noticed I have not been able to cash in any of the events I've play in, a matter of fact I never was even able to make it pass day 1. Throughout the entire WSOP I felt I played to my best ability but no matter how good a person plays they still need luck by their side especially in a field this big. I played the main event on Day 3 but got knocked out during the second level.. I had KK's on the button and went against an 89(c). Here is an article written by Tim Lavalli which gives you the details A Special Thanks For All The Support And Birthday Wishes As many of you know, tomorrow is my birthday. I want to send a special "thank you!" to all of my fans and friends who have taken the time to wish me a happy birthday. It means so much to read your messages and thoughts! To be honest, I always have mixed feelings about my birthdays. Every year, something bad happens to me on or around that day. Seriously... every year! So, I approach my birthday carefully, always looking for that curse to happen. It's sad because a birthday is supposed to be my special day - a day that I look forward to, a day to celebrate and pamper myself. But sometimes, I find myself dreading what may happen. On the other hand, as I reflect on the past year and what the next year will bring, I am happy. I have accomplished quite a bit in the last twelve months! I have found a great home with my Martins Poker team and friends who are like family to me, I have accomplished some great things at the poker tables, I've found myself on the cover of some magazines, and I've finally got some great photos to offer my fans. I'm so appreciative of my fans, and I couldn't be more thankful for my close friends and family who love me through everything. And there are so many possibilities and opportunities for the next year of my life... :) When I look at my life, of course there are things that I would like to change. (Doesn't everyone?) But overall, I'm happy with the way I live my life and where I am going. I strive every day to be the best person I can be, and I try to make life good for the people that I love. Every year, I get older but wiser. This is a good thing, right? So, let's toast to my birthday - with all of its good and bad. I'll approach it like I do my poker game - constantly improving, winning over adversity, and always coming out ahead! I am still in the process of getting my store up and going. I thank you for being patient and please check back often as my store will launch with 6 posters for purchase in the next week. Bye for now! Here are some photos of some of the things I've did during the week... I spent a day signing autographs and taking pics at the gaming expo and a girls night out with my gf's.... Enjoy.....
